Junior Church

Leonardo da Vinci painted the fresco “The Last Supper” in a church in Milan.

The painting took him four years to complete and it has become one of the most famous paintings in the world.

One of the reasons the painting took four years to complete was that when da Vinci was almost finished, a friend commented on how incredibly moving the painting was- especially the silver cup on the table.  “It was brilliant, beautiful!” he said.  “My eyes were immediately drawn to it”.  Da Vinci got so angry that he immediately painted over the cup, blotting it out.  The focus of the painting was to be Jesus, not the cup.  All attention had to be drawn to him; anything that detracted from him had to be removed.

The focus of the children and youth ministry at Lossie Baptist is Jesus Christ.

All the work we do is for his glory,

All the relationships we develop are for his glory,

All the events we run are for his glory,

We constantly must be aware that we need to remove anything that could come before Christ or hinder us from giving him all glory, honour and praise.

Christ must continue to be the centre of Lossie Baptist Children and Youth Ministries as we seek the making and maturing of disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ to the glory of God in the power of the Holy Spirit.

I want to highlight five different events that will be starting or recommencing after the summer break.

Junior Church is divided into four sections:
